Simulations & Psychometrics

Psychometric tests usually consist of text (MCQs) & pictures. They're designed to assist psychologists/shrinks in assessing personality & mental disorders.

I was wondering if virtual worlds (sims) could do that better. Imagine a video game in which one is presented with choices (basically "what would you do?" questions) that are so crafted to give us clues as to whether you're normal/abnormal of mind. We could, for example, depending on how frequently you lie to other players or game characters diagnose mythomania/pseudologia fantastica (pathological lying).

One particular problem with psychological experiments is avoided, that of ethics (no one actually gets hurt, physically that is, but hey, that's still something, oui?).

The possibilities seem endless ...
